The Sashco Blue Ox - The Best Fastener In The Business
-

--
NO PREDRILLING - Unlike other log home fastening systems, you don't need to predrill a pilot hole before installing the Sashco Blue Ox. It is engineered to drive right through the top log and grip right into the bottom log in seconds. In addition, when you need to remove a fastner, or reposition a log, it's no problem. Just put the drill in reverse and back the Sashco Blue Ox out. You can even reuse the same Sashco Blue Ox later. These features will save you or your crew a lot of time and labor costs.

TWO INCHES OF THREAD, A SELF-TAPPING HEAD, AND A LUBRICIOUS COATING - What does it all mean? One of the most important jobs a log home fastener must do is allow the log to settle. This ensures a solid, draft-free home. For this reason Sashco Blue Ox is engineered with three unique features: a patented head style which embeds itself well below the surface of the top log during installation, two inches of thread which grip into the bottom log but stay clear of the top log, and a clear coating which reduces friction between the wood and fastner. All three features combine to assist the settling process.

NO MORE SMASHED LOGS OR SORE BACKS - Swinging a sledge hammer all day to drive spikes can be bad for your back and worse for your home. Even the best builders start missing the head of the spike when they are tired. Which means that the hammer goes crashing to the log, damaging the tongue and reducing the integrity of the wall. Because the Sashco Blue Ox is installed with a drill, applicator fatigue is greatly reduced, and any damage to the logs is virtually eliminated.

INCREASED DRAWING & HOLDING POWER - The sharp gimlet point and coarse threads of the Sashco Blue Ox allow the fastener to really grip into the bottom log during installation. It's this increased holding power that gives Sashco Blue Ox the strength to draw down warped logs and secure them in place.
