All logs move. That's why Log Builder was specifically designed to absorb all log movement. Whether it's shrinking, swelling, extreme weather or settling foundation, Log Builder moves with your home, maintaining an effective seal.

Since it stretches and compresses up to 100% of the original joint size and stays rubbery, Log Builder won't crack or pull away. It creates a tight seal to keep water, dust and wind from seeping into your home.

Use one of Log Builder's seven water-based colors to seal around windows, doors and base boards. And don't forget to seal checks and cracks. Any split in the log can promote decay and allow the elements to enter your home.

You may calculate gallonage needed by finding the feet per gallon and dividing your lineal feet by
that number. Example: Joint size is 4"x 3/8". This chart indicates that one gallon will chink 13 feet.
If there are 5,500 lineal feet to be chinked, divide 5,500 by 13 to get 423 gallons. Although this chart
is rounded up where needed, it does not include waste. Keep in mind that the depth is an average
depth across the joint. We tend to think of the depth in the middle of the joint where it is actually the thinnest.
If your estimations are generally short, check to see that you use an average joint depth.
